Hey all, Just thought I do a little review of the year I had in 2008. Like every year, it’s full of ups & down but hey that’s life… but I must say DJ wise I’ve had a really great year… eventhough I didn’t play as many gigs as other years, but I can honestly say I’ve played some of my best & most enjoyable gigs this year. Maybe it’s the fact I’m older & more chilled out but overall my life turned out pretty good this year. I can’t complain. I’ve got a good job, I live in a nice house with very cool flatmates, I cycle everywhere, I feel fit & healthy and I’ve played some really amazing gigs this year!

Funnily enough I didn’t have a great year in 2007, I worked with a lot of unprofessional people & I felt totally disillusioned, it was very draining & I was beginning to think maybe I need to stop Djing. I thought to myself, right I have this gig in February in Czech Republic, If I don’t enjoy this gig I will stop Djing. I went and played the Apokolypsa party in Brno & it totally blew my mind… It was really AMAZING… 5000 incredible party people, it was so professional & I had such a wicked time. So I guess this was a sign to keep djing then… hehe. What a great start to 2008!

In March I played 2 really fun gigs in Gothenburg, Sweden & Sopot in Poland. Both were small parties but so much fun & totally rocking. Happy memories!

In April I went on a 2 week holiday to Thailand & it was unbelievable. I totally fell in Love with this country, the people & whole vibe, I'm definitely going back here again to explore some more!

In May I played another unbelievable party in Brno, again it was for the Apokalypsa crew, but it was on a Thursday night & it was a warm up party in a small club holding about 300 people. Again I was blew away by how rocking the party was for a Thursday night… packed with 300 people going nuts! It was soo hot & sooo rocking! Unbelievable! The same weekend I played a really cool gig in Slovakia called Oxygen, again the crowd there were so great & so much fun.

In June I decided last minute to go to Glastonbury... my first time ever & I had a ball. I loved it & heard such inspiring music & saw loads of wicked artists & just the whole Glastonbury experience was brilliant. Everyone needs to experience Glastonbury at least once in their lives.

In August I played my first big outdoor festival , it was called Airport festival in Slovakia. I had a nightmare getting there… being delayed 7 hours in Luton airport going over & 4 hours coming back, plus I was starving when I got to the hotel & they had no food in the restaurant! But thankfully the Festival was great & so much fun. The next day when I got back to London I went to the SW4 festival In Clapham Common with my mates which was a good laugh.

In September I decided last minute again to go to Ibiza for 5 days holiday. To be honest the sun & the beach were great & so relaxing but the clubs for me weren’t so great. Everything is sooo overpriced in Ibiza it’s such a shame. Spending 60euro to get into “we love Sundays at space” when it wasn’t that great was a bit of a let down. And then having someone steal my bag & my drink in Space at Carl Cox’s night when I wasn’t in the club 10mins was the icing on the cake! Overall the music was better in Ibiza this year, it had a lot more groove & a lot more energy which is good, but it’s just too bloody expensive & I think I’ll give it a miss next year.

October was a great month for me. 3 great gigs… AudioCity in Poland, Invader in Bulgaria & Pigfest in Czech. All were different but all were wicked. I particularly liked the Pigfest party… again it was totally rocking.

And to finish off… December has been amazing too. I started the month with a fun gig in Lublin in Poland… then you know how much fun I had in Japan… especially the Fiercesounds gig in Tokyo… AMAZING!!! And last weekend I played a super gig in Slovakia @ Neuclon 5 party… my favourite Slovakian party so far… 1000 crazy Slovakian clubbers going crazy! Yeah!

All in all 2008 has been a great year for me. I’ve grown a lot, I’m wiser, more chilled out & definitely a lot happier which is the most important. Thanks to everyone who has made this such a great year for me… all the promoters, my Czech agent Zygy & all the amazing party people!

Best of all I have a really great feeling about 2009, I know it’s going to be full more amazing music, parties, adventures & fun times.
