I am always a bit curious when I get a booking for a Wednesday or Thursday night. I guess I’m so used to playing on a Friday & Saturday night that is does feel a bit weird to play on a Thursday night. When I was picked up at the airport in Brno on Thursday to play the Apokalypsa Warm Up Party, I asked the driver how come Thursday night… will there be many people? He said… people in Brno like to start their weekend on a Thursday night… plus tonight was Dj Jerry’s radio night & residence at the Perpetuum Club where I would play… it’s always a good night.

I was invited to play on Dj Jerry’s radio show but I was too tired… I really needed to get some sleep, I had 2 really busy weeks previous so I wanted to save my energy for the party.

I got to the Perpetuum Club around 10.30pm, it was a cool little basement club… perfect for a techno party. I just caught the end of Misa’s set which sounded cool & then young up & coming Czech Dj Nois took to the decks. He’s really good & definitely one to watch out for in the future!

By the time I got up to play the place was packed! About 300 people squashed onto the danceflloor and man were they ready to party!! The party people in Brno are amazing… they really really love techno & the whole atmosphere & vibe was intense! It was also roasting & I thinking I was sweating more than anyone… but hey that’s always the sign of a good party! :)

It was off the hook & I totally enjoyed it

… And I LOVE BRNO!! The people are wiiiiiiiicked!! :)

Afterwards Dj Jerry got up to play & he kept the party rocking. I loved his set & then finally Dj Nois played last again.

By that time I was drained… no more energy… so I needed my bed. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Big huge thanks to Misa & Dalin for another amazing but much smaller Apokalypsa party. Their next huge Apokalypsa party is on 20 th June in Brno, Kevin Saunderson, Jeff Amadeus, The Advent etc. are playing & it will be an amazing party! Check it out if you feel like a party weekend abroad! :)

On Friday I travelled to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. I had a nice time checking out the city… it has a beautiful park… lots of people doing lots of different stuff… practising Tai Chi, Kickboxing, skateboarding, etc. I also saw the cutest & tiniest puppy in the world… a white ball of fluff… so cute. I love dogs.

The old part of the town is really beautiful too. There must have been no men left in the UK that weekend as I think they were all in Bratislava on a stag night… there was loads of them everywhere & really loud, which was a shame… but hey… that’s life.

Saturday night was party night…Club Dopler is a really cool club. The lazer’s & lighting are wicked & so is the sound. I met loads of really lovely people who had seen me play at the big Apokalypsa party in Czech in Feb & were looking forward to my set, which was really nice.

Czech Dj Ladida played an awesome minimal set & so did Dejan Meliciich, both used Tracktor & it looked & sounded great. Looks so much easier than dragging a big bag of records & cds around everywhere.

Anyway my turn was next & even though the club wasn’t full, as I heard a lot of people had exams the next week, but the people that were there gave me so much energy it was great. Thanks so much to everyone who came to the party & all the Oxygen Crew…. Dj Breeth & Michael!

I hope I can come back to Slovakia again soon!

All in all a great weekend! I’ve been really lucky, every party I’ve played recently has been fantastic & hopefully lots more to come….
