I was so happy when Enzo, the promoter of Bazar, asked me to play the club's closing party.  I had such a great time playing there 5 weeks before & couldn’t wait to get behind the decks & rock the place again & especially as it was their closing party!

When I arrived in Marseille there was the biggest thunder storm going on with the heaviest rain I’ve seen in ages.  Looked like God was having his own big rave in the sky with a pretty impressive light show going on & lots of fork lightening!!  Cool!

I was worried with all the rain that there might not be a big turn out plus Enzo said all the students have left Marseille now after the summer to return to college.  The club wasn’t as busy in the beginning, but definitely filled out.  I hit the decks at 2.15am after Dj Fab’s excellent warm-up set as usual.  I started with some pumping electronic house & was a bit surprised as the crowd didn’t seem to be digging it as much as last time so then I changed to techno & the crowd went bezerk!!

The staff in the club were on big time party mode as this was their last night of work for 6 weeks!  At one stage there was me & about 20 guys squashed into the Dj booth which is pretty small & I thought "what the hell is going on here??"  It was mental and everyone was shouting & screaming on the microphone giving me a shout out & I was just cracking up because I couldn’t move & couldn’t find my records & was hoping no one would jump the needles!  It was just one of those insane moments that I won’t ever forget.

I mixed one more banging techno record & then it was Jack Ollins turn! I didn’t want to stop playing as I was on a roll, I couldn’t believe my 2 hours were over just like that!  DAMN!  But hey I had fun & so many people came up to me after, saying how much they enjoyed it! Jack Ollins played a wicked tough minimal techno & electro set which got me throwing some shapes on the dancefloor & I had a laugh with my friends who I met at Dance Valley earlier this year!

All in all another crazy full on Sunday night in Bazar, Marseille where the people like to party like crazy & they’re all bonkers!!  I learned a lot about being prepared for anything & reading the crowd!  So I’m really looking forward to seeing the new style Bazar when I get to play there again after it re-opens!  Check it out if you can!
